Giving the Gift of Vision to Children
Press Release - January 1, 2013 - 5:00pm In honor World Sight Day 2012, ACP launched a second campaign to raise funds for children's eye care at St. John's Eye Hospital. Although one child in every Palestinian household suffers from some form of congenital eye disease, most Palestinian families with children live below the poverty line and cannot afford the care they need. With the help of donors like you, ACP raised $10,000 by the end of the year to provide essential preventive and curative eye care to St. John's Eye Hospital's most vulnerable patients. While we are proud of our contribution to St John’s Eye Hospital, there is still much more work to do to ensure that all Palestinian children receive the eye care they need. You can help by donating to St. John’s Eye Hospital through ACP today. Every gift can make a difference: $25 can pay for one child's annual eye exam $50 can pay for laser surgery for a diabetic child $100 can provide an artificial eye to a child who has lost an eye $250 can cure a child's congenital cataracts $500 can fund one child's lens implant surgery |
