Project Overview

MYTecC project manager Rami Nasser Edin with two participants.

As part of ACP's broader effort to improve education in the West Bank, ACP facilitated a $50,000 donation to the Mediterranean Youth Technology Club (MYTecC), an innovative new program that builds leadership capacity and cross-cultural skills among Palestinian youth through technology and social media. MYTecC links participants in Palestine, Israel, Morocco, Yemen and Turkey. Through this network, participants communicate collaboratively, express themselves through various technological tools and social media platforms, and learn about their peers who live in different cultures.

ACP coordinated with Craig Newmark, of Craigslist and CraigConnect, to send his $50,000 donation to the MYTecC program.  The project is managed by Palestine Vision in East Jerusalem, and received additional funding from Cisco and USAID.
