Our Team

Executive Director
Elizabeth Arend is the Executive Director of American Charities for Palestine. She holds a masters degree in public health from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and a bachelors degree in Feminist and Gender Studies from Bryn Mawr College. Prior to joining ACP, Elizabeth led Gender Action's work on international financial institutions, gender and reproductive health, HIV, gender based violence and food insecurity. She has also led monitoring and evaluation for Partners in Health in Rwanda, worked with orphans and vulnerable children on behalf of the Olive Leaf Foundation in South Africa, and served as a fellow for the Yale School of Public Health/Clinton Foundation's Hospital Management Initiative in Ethiopia. As a Thomas J Watson Fellow from 2002-2003, Elizabeth conducted an independent study of reproductive health law and policy in Ireland, South Africa, Egypt and Holland.
